Seven Days to Seed

Seven Days to Seed

I have now started my 2025 seed crop, and my beans popped with 100% germination! They are off to a great start!

All of the seeds I started are from the original Lamb’s Breath seeds I purchased in Jamaica in 2018. They are now the seventh generation of selective line breeding. I continue to select for vigor, high potency, strong and diverse terpene profiles, disease and pest resistance, and strong sativa traits.

On April 9, I placed 62 seeds in different chambers of my CannaKan germination unit. I filled the unit with a solution of 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 10 parts water. I let the seeds soak for 24 hours, with the canister on an 80 degree heating pad.

After the 24 hour soak, I drained the cannister and put about ¼ inch of distilled water in the bottom of the unit, and placed it back on the heating pad.

I checked the seeds the next day, and all of them had sprouted! I waited 1 more day, and then carefully removed the seed hull and membrane from the sprouts, and planted them in Fort V soil mix from Vermont Composting.

So far, so good! The seedlings have great color and growth, and carry the promise af a great 2025 Lamb’s breath sun-grown seed crop!
